Syzygy spore syringe specimens exhibit medium-sized caps (2-5cm) with a distinctive golden-caramel coloring that shifts to deep blue when handled. Specimens feature slender, pale stems with notable vertical striations and a characteristic yellowish base. Among microscopy researchers, these specimens are particularly valued for their dense spore deposits which display a striking purple-black coloration under magnification.
